Nests and Nectar from Anthropologie

Look what I stumbled upon at Anthropologie!
I’m usually not one for botanicals and wildlife motifs, but these  curtains are just so darn cute! I am a fan however of hummingbirds, I love their surprise quality as they dart into view and then disappear just a quickly.
Their colorful watercolor motif is created by the talented Michelle Morin, a Massachusetts  artist. She clusters the hummingbirds toward the top then lets them fade away toward the bottom.  Unusual, no?

Here is another version of hummingbirds and flowers…
More playful and childlike – look at that subtle stripe in the background!
Which would I choose?  Hmmm, I’m not sure.  How about you?
