Brocante – A Little Bit of Paris in New Zealand

Want to go to Paris?
I do…
I plan to go very soon, but until I get to visit that wonderful “City of Lights” I’ll have to be content with visiting some shops that bring the essence of Paris to other parts of the world.

Let me take you to one such store that I found in Napier New Zealand.

It takes its name from a french word that describes pre loved treasure.
And what treasures I found…

Let’s take a look…
A scatter of baskets greet us on the front sidewalk…a mix of wire and wicker

softened with the pillow textures.

This stained glass skylight draws us into the interior of the store,

past these darling doorstops…

zinc topped tables, rustic metal and Paris inspired accessories.

Tasteful jewelry awaits near the back counter.

Lots of homewares gathered together in color stories.

My favorite – natural elements brought together in moody black urns aside oiled bronze metals and decadent decanters.

In need of an inspirational quote?
They have a collection.

I hated to leave, but the images and flavor of this shop has stayed with me as I settled back into life here stateside.

What do you think?  Does it make you dream of France?  It certainly does for me.
Come back later in the week as I talk about vignettes using some of these images (plus a few more).
Meanwhile, I’ve got to get busy on my Christmas decorating.
Happy Monday
