Quick and Easy Fall Wreath

I’m a little lot late to the fall decorating train. I barely had time to set out a few fall items before we left mid September for our multiple vacations. I haven’t gone overboard on fall decorating for years, but I usually hang a fall wreath on our front porch. I have a few tried and true versions stashed away in the garage, but I forgot to have The Mr. get them down along with the box of fall decor. It was too late by the time I thought of it – so the porch was left decorated sans wreath.

Look what popped up in my Facebook feed….isn’t this cute?

I spied it while we were on vacation and knew that I just might have the supplies on hand to make a version when I got home. I was right, all I needed was a wire wreath, a couple of scarves, a floral pick, and an oversized piece of potpourri. Everything was in my closets.

I loosely followed Taryn’s directions and voila – instant wreath…it took me 5 minutes, OK maybe 10. Like Taryn, I didn’t glue anything in place, after all I want to wear those scarves again. Our front parch is sheltered from the wind and rain, so unless we get some crazy weather, everything should remain in place for a week or two.

Considering the total cost, time and effort it took me to create this project, think it turned out pretty well. What do you think?

If you’re still looking for a way to spruce up your front door/porch, this might just be the answer. What an easy and inexpensive weekend project, no?

Until next time…
