About Me

From a very young age, I have had a passion for architecture and design. You could always find me drawing floor plans, creating DIY projects, or poring over interior design magazines – which is something I still do to this day (but now I have added online magazines to my list of faves).  I graduated from California State University, Chico with degrees in Interior Design and Education.  In addition to teaching high school Interior Design classes for over 30 years, I have worked closely with local designers and have been lending my creative talents to friends and neighbors, helping to solve their interior design dilemmas.  This led me to my most recent venture  – I have joined forces, as it were, with a friend to begin our business as Jackcyn Redesign.  For more information you can stop by my “Services” page.

I can never get enough of the design world, so I began to write my blog as an extension of my classroom teaching and to share my enthusiasm for all things beautifully designed.  It is my hope that you can take a few snippets of information from my posts and be encouraged to put that information into practice in your own environment.

Thanks for stopping by…
